NEW DELHI: One of the most renowned rivalries in sports history is the intense competition between Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi and India’s Gautam Gambhir. This fiery rivalry has consistently captured the attention of fans due to the numerous heated encounters both on and off the field.
The Afridi vs Gambhir once again took center stage last Sunday, as the former Pakistani star went hammer and tongs against Gambhir’s led New Jersey Legends during their US Masters T10 league match at Lauderhill in Florida.

Put in to bat, New York Warriors rode on Afridi’s blistering 37 off just 12 balls and posted 84/2 in 5 (the match was reduced to 5 overs due to rain). Afridi’s knock was studded with 6 fours and 2 gigantic sixes.
However, Afridi’s valiant effort went in vain as New Jersey Legends chased down the total in just 4.4 overs. For New Jersey Legends, Jesse Ryder smashed a scintillating 12-ball 38, a knock studded with 3 fours and 4 sixes.
