KUPWARA: Five foreign terrorists were killed on Friday during an encounter with security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Kupwara district.
The encounter started early on Friday morning after security forces launched an operation based on a specific input in Jumagund area near the LoC in the north Kashmir district.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said, “Five foreign terrorists killed in encounter. Search in the area is going on”.
“An encounter has started between terrorists and joint parties of Army & Police on a specific input of Kupwara Police in Jumagund area of LoC of Kupwara district. Further details shall follow,” tweeted Kashmir Zone Police.

Earlier on June 13, two terrorists were neutralised in a joint operation of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the border area of Kupwara district.
